E-Learning I for Caregivers
Dr. Marion has created a unique online training program for caregivers that is designed to help them through the many tasks and responsibilities they will be faced with.
E-Learning I is intended for nonprofessionals who are taking care of family members. (E-Learning Pro, for professional caregivers, will be available soon.)
E-Learning I is separated into 10 steps that cover the duties of caregiving:
1. Communicate openly
2. Put safety first
3. Improve the lifestyle
4. Adapted equipment
5. Managing financial issues
6. Legal issues
7. Finding mobility in disability
8. Find the right housing
9. Hiring help when it's needed
10. Learning to let go
The online course also contains additional instruction in activities of daily living care basics and diversity and cultural competence. Each step contains informational videos and guidance on such topics as preventing falls and taking away the keys.
