Silver Planet Enters Care Services World with Sound Options

Bainbridge Island, WA – Silver Planet®, a Web site empowering boomers and seniors to age with choice, announces a new business initiative that builds on the comprehensive services it has been providing since 2008. Through a new partnership with Sound Options, a care management company, seniors and their caregivers will have the opportunity to receive care assessments, consultations, and planning and monitoring services from Silver Planet's Silver Advisors.

Silver Planet's home page offers easy access to Silver Advisors, experienced professionals who will guide seniors through the maze of housing options, in-care home services, and Medicare and Medicaid. For a small fee, advisors are available by appointment or, in case of emergency, by immediate phone consultation.

"We are excited to launch our new service model in which we have advisors on hand to help you navigate times of transition in your life," said Silver Planet CEO Karen Klein. "To provide this expert assistance, we are partnering with Sound Options. Silver Planet's 20,000 pages of content supplement the services targeted to seniors, offering concise information and opinions to empower seniors to make informed decisions."

Sound Options has been in the care management services business for two decades and is powered by a team of nursing, health care, and social work professionals. The company was founded by Mary Lynn Pannen, who has worked in the health care and chronic care fields for 35 years and is past president of the National Association of Professional Geriatric Care Managers. "The online world of eldercare resources has reached a new high," Pannen said. "Silver Planet and its owners have developed a Web site that is family friendly, intelligent, and truly concerned about its customer and the care of older adults in this country."

New features and resources related to the Silver Advisors' site will be added regularly to Silver Planet's Web site.
