Trans Fat in the Box

Trans fats are bad fats—almost everyone knows that by now. Well, some fast-food chains have jumped on the trans-free train and successfully eliminated trans fat from most of their items. Other chains have not.

A quick glance at the nutrition information for Jack in the Box breakfast items clearly shows that trans fats are still on the menu!

NOTE: The American Heart Association advises Americans to consume no more than 2 grams of trans fat per day.

Here are the items I found with 3.5 grams of trans fat or more per serving:

Trans Fat in the Box

I've dropped 11 pounds since swearing off ALL fast-food joints. Most now offer at least a few healthy items, but I can always find better choices elsewhere.

This is a great reminder to stay away from fast food chains, period! There are always better choices elsewhere. Thanks!

This is so disheartening. It always seemed like breakfast foods are supposed to be healthier. I know a breakfast croissanwich from Burger King is 13 points on the Weight Watchers point scale. That is terrible. Fast food is just bad, bad, bad. I hope to cut down on the temptation of the drive-thrus.

So many reasons to simplify our life so that we have more time to cook healthier for ourselves!
