Introduction

Just discovered your site, and am most impressed. I would suggest that you include a link to the American Parkinson Disease Association(APDA)www.apdaparkinson.org in your listing of caregiver resources. APDA is the nation's largest, grassroots association dedicated to the support of patients and cargviers whose lives are impacted by Parkinson disease. APDA, through a nationwide network of 56 Chapters, 62 Information and Referral Centers, and more than 250 affiliated support groups, volunteers and healthcare professionals raise more than $4 million for research into the causes and potential cures for this neurodegenerative disease, and more than $3.5 million for direct patient and caregiver support. I am proud to be associated with APDA as the Coordinator of the Parkinson's Disease Information and Referral Center of Albany Medical Center, Albany New York and strongly recommend APDA's services to the attention of your members. Thanks and keep up the great work! Mary G. Fenn, RN, BSN

Hi,
I attended the NADSA Conference in Seattle in October. I just got on your site today and am most impressed. I printed off an article, "Caregivers Resources" and am going to give this information and web site to our Caregivers Support Group that meets this Thursday. Thank you so much for contacting me and for the previous person who made a comment about Parkinson Disease Association. We need all the help we can get to be the best and most efficient caregivers. I live in a very caring community of which I am so grateful and this information will be very helpful so thank you again for contacting me. I am the manager of an Adult Day Services Program in Homer, Alaska.
