Discount Prescription Card Program FAQ

Pharmacy Discount Program Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use the Pharmacy Discount Card while on Medicare?

Medicare gives those of us aged 65 years and older access to prescription drugs that can help keep us physically and mentally fit. Although helpful, Medicare drug plans vary in cost and create coverage gaps. This means you may have to pay for medications out-of-pocket once you've paid a specific amount and find yourself in the "gap." This can take a financial toll owing to increasing prescription drug costs.

The Silver Grace Card is a free discount prescription drug card. It is designed to enhance and supplement your Medicare coverage with additional discounts on medications and supplies that are not typically covered, including the following:

  • Lifestyle drugs

    • Erectile dysfunction medications

    • Hair restorative medications

  • Cosmetic drugs

    • Wrinkle treatments (creams and injections)

    • Sun spot/skin discoloration treatments

  • Other medications

    • Drugs disallowed because of no prior authorization

    • Drugs disallowed because quantity limits were exceeded

What are the benefits of the Pharmacy Discount Program?

The Pharmacy Discount Program provides discounts on drugs and other health care supplies at participating pharmacies. You can immediately save 10% to 70% on the cost of thousands of brand-name and generic prescriptions. Additionally, you can save on the cost of over-the counter products, such as smoking cessation aids and diabetic supplies. This program is not a prescription insurance policy. Program members are obligated to pay for all health care services but will receive a discount from those health care providers who have contracted with the discount plan organization.

There are no limits on medications, and you can use the card at more than 45,000 pharmacies nationwide. Simply present the card with a valid prescription at one of these pharmacies, and the pharmacist will apply the discount, saving you money on the spot! One card can be used by your entire family.
