Well, as I write this, I am worried about getting my bag packed for two weeks in Italy and Greece.
Julie Bohlen, who works for Silver Planet, and three of her daughters are going with me on a 10-day tour of Italy with ACIS, and then the five of us head off on our own for three days in Greece. Both are places that I have always wanted to visit and thought I probably never would.
I am particularly excited about seeing Pompeii. When I was around eight years old, I received a book all about Pompeii and its incredible archeological finds, including the remains of the inhabitants left by the eruption of Mount Vesuvius.
I watched a special on television several years ago that reenacted the final moments of some of those people, so I am thrilled to see the place in person.
So far, I think I have packed pretty much what I need—maybe it’s time, though, to remove about half. That’s the advice I give people. The question is will I heed my own advice.
Plan on reading about our adventures in my July blogs!
